Safe and social media

Is it safe to post personal information on social media??
Today at the end of my english class we talked about the people's safety on  social media, this make me think about all times me and my friends we publish on social network's our experiences when we were kids on pages like facebook, tumblr, etc. 
This information was obviously not published in any way sfe for us, so when we realized the risks we were exposing ourselves by doing this we started to be more rigorous with what was begin published currentlymyu social network is instagram because of the large amount of memes I can see in the day, it is a great method of distraction, but I always try to stay off these networks long enough to be able to do all my responsibilities of university, home, friends and even family.
Supposedly this should have a limit of 150 words and i no longer know what to write

    I also use Instagram for the memes and many times I waste time when I should be studying.

    P.S. It also cost me to write the 150 words.
